TUSTIN HELD IN THE CITY HALLL OF TUSTIN ON MONDAY EVENING
AT 7 P. M. MAY 5, 1947.
PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: KIDD, CHARLETON, AND BACON
ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: FORNEY, AND HUMESTON
CITY ATTORNEY C. ARTHUR NISSON WAS PRESENT
THE MINUTES OF THE LAST REGULAR MEETING OF APRIL 21ST WERE ADOPTED
ON ORDER OF THE MAYOR.
THE MAYOR ASKED OF THE VISITORS AT THE MEETING FOR ANYTHING THEY
MIGHT WANT TO TAKE UP WITH THE COUNCIL AND MR. C.H. JUMPER, OF MT.
VIEW STREET ASKED ABOUT HAVING A SIGN ON THE HIGHWAY ADVERTISING HIS
BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENT AT HIS HIME. THE MATTER WAS NOT DECIDED BUT
WOULD BE LOOKED INTO WAS THE WAY THE MATTER WAS LEFT.
ALBERT FAENSWORTH FILED WITH THE COUNCIL A PARTITION WITH 75 NAMES OF
PROPERTY OWNERS AND REGISTERRED VOTERS, REQUESTING THAT A NIGHTMAN BE
ADDED TO THE POLICE FORCE. THE MATTER WAS PUT OFF UNTIL THE 19TH MEET-
ING WHEN ALL MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL WOULD BE PRESENT FOR A DISCUSSION.
A SUGGESTION FOR:THE BUSS BENCH TO BE MOVED EAST FROM IN FRONT OF THE
FILLING STATION, SOME 50 FEET, WAS LOOKED ON WITH FAVOR AND STREET
SUPERINTENDANT WAS INSTRUCTED TO ACT IN THE MATTER AS HE THOUGHT BEST.
CHIEF OF POLICE, MCMULLEN, NOTIFIED THE COUNCIL THAT MR. PHILLIPS, OF
THE CITIES FORCE, WANTED TO TAKE HIS VACATION BEGINNING JUNE 2ND, AND
THAT HE HAD A PARTY WHO WOULD COME ON THE JOB AND WORK FOR THE CITY
WHILE MR. PHILLIPS AND MR. SPICER HAD TIME FOR THEIR VACATIONS.
THE REQUEST WAS GRANTED.
ON THE MOTION OF COUNCILMAN CHARLETON THE FOLLOWING BILLS WERE ORDERED
PAID. COUNCILMAN BACON SECONDED MOTION. MOTION CARRIED.

COUNCILMAN CHARLETON MOVED THE MEETING ADJOURN. COUNCILMAN BACON SECON-
DED MOTION. MOTION CARRIED.
