HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1947 04 07 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN ON MONDAY EVENING AT 7:30 O'CLOCK APRIL 7,1947. PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: KIDD, BACON, FORNEY, HUMESTON, AND CHARLETON ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: NONE CITY ATTORNEY C. ARTHUR NISSON WAS PRESENT THE MAYOR CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AND THE MINUTES OF THE PEN- _.~ VIOUS MEETINGS WERE READ AND ADOPTED. THE REPORT OF THE PLANNING CONMISSION RELATIVE TO LAND USES AND BUILDING LINE SET BACK ADOPTED BY THE COUNCIL. MR. SCHNEIDER, OF THE ALLIS CHALMERS TRACTOR CO., ASKED THAT ALL PROPERTY ALONG 1ST. STREET FROM MYRTLE TO PACIFIC BE LEFT IN ZONE 1. ALSO DID MRS. PRESCOTT ASK FOR CHANGING IN ZONING IN BLOOK 18, LOST 4&5. BLOCK 41 ON 3. AFTER DISCUSSION AND EXPLANNATION THEY WITH DREW THEIR REQUEST. ASSEMBLY BILL 477 RECENTLY ADOPTED BY LOS ANGELES BOARD WAS PUT BEFORE THE COUNCIL AND WAS REJECTED WITH NO ACTION TAKEN. RESOLUTION 191, MOSQUITO ABATEMENT, WAS HEAD. COUNCILMAN CHARLE- TON MOVED TO ADOPT THIS RESOLUTION. COUNCILMAN FRANK BAOON 2ND MOTION. ROLL CALL FAVORABLE WITH ALL VOTING AYE. RESOLUTION 192, THIS REGULATES THE BAD WEEDS IN THE CITY AND AFTER CONSIDERABLE DISCUSSION THEY DECIDED TO ADOPT THIS RESOLUTION. MOTION WAS MADE BY COUNCILMAN CHARLEON TO READ ORDINANCE 70 BY TITLE. THIS WAS THE SECOND READING OF THE ORDINANCE. COUNCIL- MAN FORNEY SECONDED THE MOTION. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. COUNCIL- MAN CHARLETON MOVED TO ADOPT THE ORDINANCE AS READ. 2ND BY FORNEY. CARRIED BY A UNANINOUS VOTE. MOTION WAS MOVED BY COUNCILMAN CHARLETON TO APPROVE ORDINANCE 71. COUNCILMAN HUMESTON 2ND MOTION. ALL MEMBERS VOTING AYE. IT WAS MOVED TO HAVE THEATTORNEY, C. ARTHUR NISSON JR., DRAW UP AN ORDINANCE REGARDING STORAGE OF LIQUIFIED PETROLEUM GASES. MOVED BY HUMESTON. 2ND. BY FORNEY. MOTION CARRIED. COUNCILMAN FORNEY MOVED TO ADJOUNE. 2ND. BY CHARLETON.
