SUBJECT: STOP SIGN INSTALLATION ON ALDER LANE @ SYCAMORE AVE,
At their meeting of October 6, 1980, the City Council reviewed the options of a
stop sign installation at Alder Lane and Sycamore Avenue within the Peppertree
Homes Community. At this time, the Council requested staff to agendized the
required Resolution within 30 days and that notification be made to the
Peppertree Homeowner's Association of the impending action.
Attached are the following:
1. Notification letter to the Peppertree Homeowner's Association.
2. Resolution designating the placement of stop signs for northeast bound
and southwest bound Alder Lane at Sycamore Avenue and at southeast
bound and northwest bound Sycamore Avenue at Alder Lane.
Recommendation:
It is recommended that if the Tustin City Council is desirous of placing these
stop signs, the attached Resolution should be passed and adopted at their
mee~!ng of November. 17, 1980. :

Dear Hr. Ferguson:

In order te reduce some of the concerns of vehicle and pedestrian/bicycle
conflict at the intersection of Alder Lane and Sycamore Avenue, the City is
considering the installation of a stop sign on Alder Lane at Sycamore Avenue.
The Council will be acting on a Resolution approving this stop sign
installation at their meeting of November 17, 1980. It is requested that your
organization contact all of the residents of Peppertree regarding this action
so that they may express their viewpoints either pro or con on the proposed
installaton.
The City Council meeting will be held at the council Chambers, 300 centennial
Way at 7:30 P.M. November 17, 1980.
If you have any question regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to call
me at any time.

RESOLUTION No. 80-126
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA
DESIGNATING PLACEMENT OF CERTAIN STOP SIGNS.
The City Council of the City of Tustin, California, does resolve as
follows:
Stop signs for northeast bound and southwest bound Alder Lane
at Sycamore Avenue and southeast bound and nOrthwest bound
Sycamore Avenue at Alder Lane are hereby designated author-
ized stop signs in the City of Tustin.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Tustin, California, held on the day of
, 1980.
