AGENDA ITEM:
ORDINANCE NO. 834
An Ordinance of the City Council of'the City of Tustin, California,
AMENDING CHAPTER 3 OF ARTICLE 3 OF THE TUSTIN CITY CODE PERTAINING
TO POOL HALLS AND BOWLING ALLEYS
BACKGROUND:
Ordinance No. 834 had fi~s. t reading by title only and introduction at
the September 15, 1980~meeting. The Council requested an explanation
from the Police Ch~f regarding Section 4, "3306 LOITERING" before
the ordinance was adopted. That was done but a new problem was
presented by a businessman in that the present language of Section
3301 is so restrictive on building layout as to make most businesses
non-conforming. The staff has reviewed the problem and agrees that
Section 3301 should be completely deleted. Section 3303(b) already
allows the License and Permit Board to review the arrangements and
suitability of the location prior to issuing a permit.
RECO~VLENDATION:
M.O. - that Ordinance No. 834 have first reading by title only.
M.O. - that Ordinance No. 834 be introduced.
