SUBJ[CT: TUSTIN WATER WORKS/CITY WATER SERVICE SALARY COMPARISONS
At their last meeting, the Tustin. City Council was concerned about any salary
increases that would be made to the Water Works employees at the time of acquisition
by the City.
The following is a recap of existing and proposed salaries of all Water Works
employees:

Data Input Operator
Three individuals will receive increases from 4.76% to 16.1%. In the case of
Tony Alarcon, his increase was 4.76% because placing him in the next lower range
would have imposed a 6.2% decrease or the next range'above would have provided a
1.3% increase at "D" step with an additional 5% at the end of one year. Terry
McGlynn and Arnot Sutton will receive a 10.6% and 16.1% increase respectively.
These individuals were brought in at "A" step of the salary range. Both of these
employees are comparatively new to the Water Works and, consequently, started at a
low salary range. All other Tustin Water Works employees' increases ranged from
0.9% to 2.57%.
