This application is scheduled to be heard by the Planning Agency on October 20, 1980. Of concern fo staff is the architectural elevations of the proposal. They ex- hibit a clean glass and metal design. Item 4,17 g) 4 of the El Camino Real Development Plan (Ordinance 510) states: "Architectural styles shall be authorized by the Development Preview Commission upon a finding that proposed developments are compatible with and complementary fo the village motif. Renovation of existing victorian and western style buildings and construction of others of similar style and compatible Spanish motif are encouraged." The architecture as proposed does not lend itself fo a village atmosphere as required by the guidelines, Development of this property was previously approved by Use Permit 79-27. The enclosed elevation shows a file and stucco structure which was determined to be appropriate for the area. RECOtCN£NDED ACTION If is recomcnended that the Redevelopment Agency determine if the style of architecture conforms fo the guidelines of development and forward ifs recom- mendation fo the Planning Agency.
