TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT PROGRAM- APPROVAL OF PROJECT
AND CLAIM FOR "PROGRAM" FUNDS.
As established by SB 821, 2 % of each county's total local transportatiOn
fund is annually set aside to fund the development of bicycle and
pedestrian facilities.
The City in order to receive it's share of said funds must:
1. Approve said project.
2. Approve the claim for said funds. (see attached)
The City's fair share allocation is $7,750.00 and will be spent to
construct handicapped ramps at the following street intersection
locations:
Northerly'side of Main Street at Prospect
Avenue. (2 each)
2. Northerly side of Main Street at Prebte
Drive. (2 each)
3. Preble Drive at Third Street. (4 each)
4. Prospect Avenue at Third Street. (4 each)
5. Northerly side of Main Street at Centennial
Way. (2 each)*
* This item may be deleted depending on bid results.
A copy Of the project submittal is attached for your information.
Reconm~endation:
It is recommended that the City Council at it's meeting of October
6, 1980, adopt a Minute Order approving the construction of the
handicapped ramps as proposed and authorizing the City Engineer
as designated contact person and also authorize the submittal of
the attached application for all funds available to the City of
Tustin for fiscal year 1980-81.
