THAYER, CHIEF OF POLICE REQUEST TO FILL VACANCIES I hereby request to fill the following vacancies: 1 Communications Officer Due to resignation of Paul Wiedenkeller who resigned due to poor hearing - he was in training. 1 Records Clerk Due to resignation of Denise Gabrielsen who is relocating in Northern California due to transfer of husband. Parker was still in the probation period of his employment. The'reasons for his termination is as follows: Absent from work from September 17, 1980 through September 25, 1980 (7 working days) without any notification to the City regarding the absence. On September 26, 1980, Steven Parker was contacted and he had indicated that he has taken employment elsewhere. Recommendation: It is recommended that the Tustin City Council at their meeting of October 6, 1980 authorize the hiring of an employee to fill the vacant Maintenance Worker I position.
