THE CITY OF TUSTIN, HELD IN THE
CITY HALL OF TUSTIN, MONDAY AT
7 0'CLOCK P.M. SEPTEMBER 9TH, 1946.
PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: KIDD, PARK, JACOBS, CHARLETON, AND
HUMESTON.
ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: NONE
CITY ATTORNEY, C. ARTHUR NISSON JR., WAS PRESENT.
MAYOR KIDD CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER, AND
ORERED THE ADOPTED OF THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF
AUGUST 26th.
IN THE COMMUNICATIONS THE GOMERNOR'S OFFICE IN
THEIR LETTER OF THE "28th" OF AUGUST URGED SCRAP
SHOULD BE CONTINUED AND A DRIVE MADE IN AN EFFORT
TO AID IN THE PRODUCTION OF STEEL SO BADLY NEEDED
IN THE BUILDING PROGRAN.
RESOLUTION WAS RESOLUTION NO. 180 WAS ADOPTED ON THE MOTION OF
ADOPTED COUNCILMAN PARK, AND SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN CAR-
LETON. ROLL CALL WAS ALL COUNCILMAN VOTING AYE.
NONE TO THE CONTRARY. MOTION CARRIED. THIS RE-
SOLUTION FIXING THE BUDGET FOR THE NEXT FISCAL YEAR
FOR THE CITY.
Resolution NO. 181 fixing the time and place of
official meetings of the Board of Trustees was
adopted on the motion of Councilman Park and se-
conded by Councilman Humeston. Roll Call results
were all Councilmen Voted Aye and none voting un-
favorable. Motion Carried.
Resolution NO. 182 fixing the Tax Rate for the
City's Tax Rate for 1946-1947 was adopted on the
motion of Councilman Park and seconded by Council-
man Charleton. The Roll Call vote was All Council-
men voting favorable Motion Carried.
Street Superintendent, Heard reported that he has
a figure of 40.00 fo the taking down and removing
the large walnut tree in from of I50 So. Pacific
Street that had died in the parking and had become
dangerous to the public. He was instructed to have
the work done.
Councilman Charleton moved that the following bills
be paid. Councilman Park seconded the motion.
Motion Carried.
On the motion of Councilman Charleton the meeting
was adjourned. Councilman Jacobs seconded the motion.
