HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1946 08 1270 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TUSTIN,CALIFORNIA HELD, IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN ON MONDAY EVENING AUG. 12th 1946. PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: JACOBS, CHARLETON JACOBS AND HUMESTON. COUNCILMEN: KIDD CITY ATTORNEY C. ARTHUR NISSON WAS PRESENT COUNCILMAN On the motion of Councilman Charleton and 2nd by JACOBS ACTS AS Councilman Humeston, Councilman Jacobs was chosen to MAYOR PROTEM act as Mayor protem. Mayor Protem Jacobs asked for the reading of the minutes of the preceding meeting, and ordered the adoption after there were no errors or omissions noted by other members of the Board. RESOLUTION NO. Resolution No. 178 was adopted on the motion of 178 was adopted Counculman Charleton, the second to the motion made by Councilman Humeston. The Roll Call was Favorable Motion Carried. This Resolution was de- signed by the County Probation Department to deter- mine the methods and facilities being used to pre- vent the treatment of Delinquency for the youth of the of the community. J. L. McBride, Consulting Engineer, showed the Council prelimenary maps of the profile and grade for A street from First Street to Main and SecondStreets from Pacific to B Street , after a length of dis- cussion of the Street work it was decided to finish up the maps for the survey and have them on file for the work to be done later, and do a reserfacing job on North A,B, and C Streets; from First Street North to the Dead End, and do some repairing and reser- facing to Sixth Street, Dave Carmacle was before the Council explaining the renewal of all the Insurance his Company writes for the City, Street Superintendant Heard took up the matters of a loadlng Zone for the Tustin Cleaners. He was in- structed to procede to establish a loading zone in one stall in front of their place of business and to mark it as a loading zone, Councilman Humeston moved that Bills presented by the Clerk be paid. Councilman Charleton seconded the motion. Motion Carried.
