SUBJECT: EVERGREEN ASH PARKWAY TREES
At their August 18, 1980 meeting, the City Council asked for a report
on the remaining Evergreen Ash trees within the public right of way.
A recent count indicates that there are eight (8) Ash trees remaining
in the public right of way within the present city limits and there are
five (5) Ash trees within the area of the proposed Irvine Blvd. - Dean
Street Annexation No. 121.

We, the undersigned tenants residing at 530-570 South "C" Street
(Tustin Courts) would like your consideration to plant some trees
in the parkway. There are beautiful trees at the corner of Main
and "C" Streets, but when you approach Sixth Street, on the west
side, there is a complete absence of a tree in the parkway, ex—
cept for one on the corner. Not only would trees be a benefit
to the tenants facing "C" Street (that summer sun gets mighty
HOT), it would certainly help to enhance the area. Since Tustin
is known as the "City of Trees" we feel that a few trees in this
area would be extremely welcome. This complex was built approxi—
mately 40 years ago and has curbs, gutters, and sidewalks, but
NO trees in the parkway.
