HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1946 04 15 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN, MONDAY APRIL 15, 1946. PRESENT WERE; Councilmen; Kidd, Charleton, Park, Jacobs, Rawlings. ABSENT WERE: Councilmen: None. Mayor Kidd called the meeting to order at the usual hour of 7 p.m. and asked the Clerk to read the minutes of the last meeting, they were approved by order of the Mayor. COMMUNICATIONS. Arthur Nisson Jr. made written Application for the City Attorney's job for Tustin. No action was taken. A letter from our City Attorney Geo. E. Bradley with a copy of the Insurance Policy posted by Hugh J. Staton for Liability Insurance for protection Insurance for conductlong a Taxi Cab in the City Mr Carroll Chase (of the Firm of Chase-Frand property owners of Lots 4, 5, and 6 of Block 14, City of Tustin Tract) was before the Council with a proposition to have the City pay a part of laying a sidewalk in front of their lots, to conform with the other sidewalks in this block of the City. The matter was to be further in- vestigated by the Council before entering into an ageement. Councilman Charleton ingormed the Council that he had located what he thought was just about wat was needed in the way of a combination Weed and Paint spray, and moved that the City but the Sprayer from Larry Fricker local Agent. Councilman Park seconded the motion, Motion carried Mayor Kidd reported to the Council that progress was being made in having the grounds for Night Ball Games re-lighted and put in condition so that the Night Ball games might get going again. Councilman Charleton moved that the following bills be paid Internal Withholding Tax $145.50 Chas. E. Morris--covering the Election cost of Officers for the Municiple Election. $24.00 Clerical work in mailing out Election information. $15.00 Carson & Golding Bill $42.93. Councilman Park seconded the motion, Motion carried. On the order of the Mayor the Meeting was adjourned until Tuesday Evening April 16th at 7 o'olock for the canvassing of the ballots of the Municipal Election and Installing the newly elected Officers
