HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1946 04 01 REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TIUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN, MONDAY APRIL FIRST AT 7 P.M., 1946 PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: Kidd, Rawlings, Charleton, Park and Jacpbs ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: None Attorney Geo. E. Bradley was absent. Mayor Kidd called the meeting to order and the minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. In the communications Attorney Geo Bradley notified the Council that he had been appointed to be the City Attorney of Santa, Ana, and as the Meeting for the Council fell on the same date that the Tustin meetings were held, something would have to be done as he could not be at Tustin on its regular meeting nights. He stated that he could like very much to remain the City Attorney for us here in Tustin if a change in the meeting nights could be arranged or be glad to stop in favor of another Attorney. It was decided to wait until the next meeting and make the decission on the matter at that time. Several matters for needs of the City was discussed among them a need for a weed burner. Councilman Charleton told the Council that he would investigate a type of burner that he had heard about and report back at the next meeting. The matter of trash haul- ing was to be investigated. Mayor Kidd reported tht they were going to thoroughly investigate the possibility of getting the lights for night Ball games fixed up so Night Ball Games could be had again. The matter of the attending the Joint Meeting of the Orange County League with the Los Ageles County at Long Beach on the Night of the 18th was talked over and the Mayor asked that all wishing to attend report to the Clerk so as to be included in the list to attend from Tustin. Councilman Park moved the following Bills be Paid Chas. E. Morris $6.75 Tustin News $29.72 Dr. Farrage $8.00 Fire Dept. $33.50 Ground Work $100.00 Inspections $10.50 Fed. Labortories$26.59 Councihan Jacobs seconded the Motion. Motion carried. The Meeting adjourned on the motion of Councilman Charleton seconded by Councilman Rawlings. Motion carried.
