San Juan Annexation No. 110
The Local Agency Formation Commission {LAFCO) scheduled the San Juan/Green
Valley Annexation No. 110 on June 11, 1980. If is anticipated fhaf this proposal
will receive the approval of LAFCO since no organized opposition has been made
fo this proposal.
The proposed annexation includes only the area westerly of Red Hill Avenue and
is thus processed as an inhabited annexation with the City Council servin9 as
the conductin9 authority for a protest hearln9.
It is necessary for the City Council fo adopt a resolution initiating annexation
proceedings and fixin9 a time, date, and place of hearin9 on the proposed an-
nexation.
RECOt~NDED ACTION
Predicated upon the favorable action of the Local Agency Formation Commission
on June 11, 1980, it is recommended fhaf the City Council adopt Resolution
No. 80-59 scheduling an annexation hearing for July 21, 1980.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA, INITIATING ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS AND
SCHEDULING A HEARING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
INHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "SAN JUAN-GREEN
VALLEY ANNEXATION NO. 110 (REVISED)" TO THE CITY
OF TUSTIN.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Tusfin, by Resolfuion No. 80-9, adopted on
February 4, 1980 commenced proceedings and requested the Local Agency
Formation Commission fo consider the proposed annexation of certain
territory fo the city of Tusfin, and
WHEREAS, said territory is an inhabited area designated as the "San
Juan-Green Valley Annexation No. 110 (Revised)" as more fully described
by the map shown as Exhibit 1, attached hereto and a part hereof, and

lities thereby increasing ,he economy and efficiency of urban

WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission on June Il, 1980 determined
that:
a. The proposed annexation is categorically exempt From CEQA;
b. The proposed annexation is a logical extension of the city's
boundaries;
c. The City of Tustin shall pay all expenses incurred in conducting
and completing proceedings for the proposed annexation;
d. A waiver is granted for the remaining island territory pursuant
fo Section 35190(e) of the Municipal Organization Act of 1977;
e. The annexation would not be effective pursuant fo AB8 until such
time as the exchange of property fax revenues are negotiated
between the City and County; and
f. The City Council of Tusfin is designated as the conducting
authority and directed to initiate annexation proceedings.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, City of Tustin, Cali-
fornia:
That a public hearing on the proposed San Juan-Green Valley Annexation
No. 110 (Revised) will be conducted on July 21, 1980 af 7:30 p.m. in
the Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin.
That any owner of land within the territory or any registered voter
residing within the territory may file a written protest against the
annexation with the City Clerk of Tusfin at any time prior fo the con-
clusion of the City Council hearing on the proposed annexation.
3. That the City Clerk shall cause notice of the hearing on the proposed
annexation fo be given as required by law.
