SUBJECT: SEVENTEENTH STREET TRAFFIC SIGNAL INTERCONNECT
The attached is the Program Supplement No. 1 (Revision No. 1) to the Local Agency -
State Agreement No. 07-5271 for the subject Traffic Signal System Modification
Interconnect on Seventeenth Street between the Route 55 Freeway and Yorba Street
(North). The original Program Supplement was executed by the City in October,
1979, and is being revised because the City has been granted State Matching Funds
to finance the City's share (14:';) of the project.
The new financing breakdown for this Federal Aid Urban (FAU) Project will be as
noted below:

2. The City of Tustin will advertise, award and administer this
project.
3. In awarding the contract, the Local Agency agrees the payment
of Federal funds will be limited to the detail estimate amount
approved by the Federal Highway Administration in the Federal -Aid
Project Agreement (PR -2), or its modification (PR -2A), and accepts
any increases in Local Agency funds.
- 4. The availability of Federal funds will be subject to meeting
deadlines and/or other conditions as may be imposed by the
Director upon the recommendation of the FAU Advisory Committee.
5. The Local Agency's share of matching funds for construction
engineering and construction will be 1000 of the amount remaining
after Federal participation and 169.1 funds.
6. A portion of the Local Agency funds required to match Federal
Highway funds in the project will be provided by the State as
authorized by Item 169.1 of the Budget Act of 1979 and allocated
by the California Transportation Commission. The 169.1 funds
ssigned to this project are shown on Exhibit B and may be
increased, if funds become available, to the amount required
to match the Federal funds shown in the detail estimate approved
by the FHWA in the Federal -Aid Project Agreement (PR -2), or
its modifcation (PR -2A).
7. In accordance with Section 16304 of the Government Code, Item
169.1 funds may be available for expenditure until June 30, 1982
unless otherwise provided b•:, future budget act language.
8. The Local Agency may be required to report to the California
Transportation Commission identifying use of Item 169.1 funds
and identifying the use of funds freed as a result of the
receipt of 169.1 funds. Funds freed must be eligible for
street, road and highway purposes.

agreement the date of signature. Upon execution by the State,
one original will be returned to you for your files.
Any changes to the funding or the Special Covenants of this
agreement must be approved by our office.
