SUBJECT: INTERSECTION STUDY - IRVINE BOULEVARD AT "B" STREET
As requested by the City Council at their last meeting, the subject intersection
has been re-evaluated and the following items are reconmended to improve visibility
of the intersection:
1. Install two {2} W66 (30" X 30") signs indicating school crossing on
median islands as shown on the attached drawing.
Install two (2) W66 (36" X 36") and two (2) W66A signs indicating
school crossing with legends in more visible locations as shown on
the attached drawing.
3. Remove 2 existing W66 (30" X 30") signs.
4. Cross-stripe existing crosswalk. (This item has already been initiated.)
Remove additional parking on the northside of Irvine Boulevard easterly
of "B" Street between the existing red zone and the first driveway
easterly of "B" Street as shown on the attached drawing.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
It is requested {hat the City Council authorize the work as outlined above in
items 1 through 5 to improve visibility at the intersection of Irvine Boulevard
at "B",Street.
