AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS - WALNUT AVENUE WIDENING
FROM RED HILL AVENUE TO 600'! EASTERLY
This project encompasses-the widening of the northerly side of Walnut Avenue adjacent
to the Nisson Parcel. The widening will consist of adding an additional westbound
travel lane in accordance with Alternate IV, which was authorized-by the City Council
at their meeting of March 3, 1980.
There is presently $44,000.00 budgeted for this project. The Engineer's estimate
for this project is $21,000.00 due to the reduced scope of the work under Alternate
IV. Pending bid results, it is suggested that leftover funds from this project
could be transferred to the F.Y. '79-80 Street Maintenance Program.
The attached Resolution-is for the City CoUncil's approval of plans and specifications
for the construction of Walnut Avenue-Widening from Red Hill Avenue to 600'~'Easterly,
and directing the City Clerk to advertisefor bids.
