HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1946 02 18 MINUTES OF. THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN AT 7 0'CLOCK FEB. 18, 1946. PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: Kidd, Rawlings, Charleton, Jacobs and Park ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: NONE Mayor Kidd opened the Meeting for the evening and asked the Clerk to read the Minutes of the last meeting of Feb. 4th, they were approved by order of the Mayor as there were no errors or omissions regestered by the members of the council In the communications there was a letter from the State Board of Equalization stating that Elmer N. Swift had made application for an off Sale license to be established at 155 D Street in Tustin. Councilman Park moved that the Council go on record as objecting to the application on the grounds that it would be one block from the Elementry School and surrounded by residental property, and asked that the Clerk be ordered to advise the State Board of Equalization reguarding the action. Councilman Rawlings seconded the motion. Motion carried. Councilman Rawlings moved that City Attorney Geo, E. Bradley be made Deputy City Clerk, Councilman Park Seconded the motion. Motion Carried. Councilman Park moved and Councilman Charleton seconded the motion that Ordinance #67 be read by Title only. Motion carried. Moved by Councilman Park and seconded by Councilman Charleton that Ordinance #67 by adopted by Roll Call Roll Call: Councilman Kidd, Aye. Councilman Charleton, Aye. Councilman Jacobs, Aye. and Councilman Park, Aye. The motion as there were no votes to the contrary. James Dickerson from the Edison Company was with the Board again for further discussion in lighting up the Highway and filed a map of the project and correspondance in connection with the plan. Councilman Charleton moved the adoption of the plan and suggested a meeting with Irven G. Gordon in preper- ation for filing a formal partition with the Board of Supervisors. Councilman Rawlings seconded the motion. Motion carried. On the motion of Councilman Park the following Bills were orderd paid--- Chas. E. Morris $30.00. Chas E. Morris $12.00. and Orange Co. Auto Club $38.70. Councilman Charleton seconded the motion. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned on the motion of Councilman Jacobs, seconded by Councilman Charleton. Motion carried.
