HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1946 01 07 48 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, HELD IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN, MONDAY EVENING AT 7 O'CLOCK JANUARY 7TH 1946. PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: RAWLINGS, CHARLETON, JACOBS AND PARK. ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: KIDD. ATTORNEY GEO.E. BRADLEY WAS PRESENT, The meeting was called to order by Councilman Rawlings who was chosen to act as Mayor pro-tem by a unanimous choice of the Councilmen. The meeting opened and the minutes of the last meeting was read and approved by the order of the Mayor as there were no errors or omissions regestered by the Councilmen. In the communications the City Fire Department asked the Council to approve their choice of Ed Kiser for the Depart- ments Chief and Jerome C. Kidd as Assistant Chief. Councilman Park moved that the Council approve the choice of the Firemen in selecting their Chief and Assistant Chief and name Ed Kiser Chief of the Fire Department and Jerome C.Kldd the Assistant Fire Chief for the year of 1946. Councilman Jacobs seconded the motion. Motion carried. Mr. Charles Rentschler was before the Council to investigate the Ordinance that governed his Chicken and Rabbit raising within the City. He stated that the County Health Dept. had inspected his premises and stated that his enterprise was not in the condition that was required by the City Ordinance for the keeping of Chickens and Rabbits within the City and sighted to Mr. Rentachler that his Chickens were being housed too close to the Tustin Water Works Reservoir for storage of water for the Cities use. Mr. Rentschief stated that he would make changes in the arrangement of his place that would meet all requirements of the Ordinance and Health Department. City Attorney Bradley reported that he was working out the protection for the City in having the Staten Brother file with the City a Copy of their Liability Insurance for operating a Taxi cab service in Tustin. Councilman Park moved that the following bills presented for payment be paid the second to the motion was furnished by Councilman Charleten. Motion carried. Carson & Golding $47.35 Jas.
