SUBJ£CT: COLUMBUS TUSTIN PARKING LOT CONTRACT (File #1658)
The Contractor, Porter Construction~ has requested an extension of time to the
subject contract due to inclement weather. The original contract start and com-
pletion dates were as follows:
Contract start date ........................... November 30, 1979
Contract completion time ...................... 75 calendar days
Contract completion date ...................... February 12, 1980
There were eighteen (18) rain days during this period of time and a minimum of
twenty (20) days for dryout were required. Staff recommends that the contract
be extended a total of 38 calendar days, which provides for an adjusted contract
completion date of March 21, 1980.
Recommendation:
It is recommended that the City Council at their meeting of March 3, 1980,
approve a contract extension time of 38 calendar days to the contract for the
construction of a parking lot at Columbus Tustin Parking Parksite.
