MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY HALL OF
TUSTIN .DEC. 17th 1945 at 7:00 p.m.
Present were: Councilmen: Kidd, Rawlings, Jacobs, Park and
Charleton
Absent were: Councilmen: None
City Attorney Geo. E. Bradley was present.
The meeting was opened at the usual hour by Mayor Kidd
and the minutes of the last meeting of December 3rd were adopted
as corrected by order of the Mayor. There were no objections.
There was no communications other than a notice from
the State Secretary to the effect that the Governors Office had
ruled that there would be no holiday either the day before Christ-
mas or New Years day.
City Attorney Bradley went into the purposed Disaster
Ordinance as outlined in the League of Cities letter on the
subject. Members of the Council were agreed that they could see no
reason for any Ordinance along this line, as Tustin has always
given a good account of themselves in such cases and believed that
they would continue to do so. A special meeting of the Council
could well care for everything that the Ordinance might cover.
As there was not much business for the Council, much
of the time of the meeting was taken up on a matter of general
importance. The City's well-fare sewer system was the most im-
portant feature of the communities needs and the Council agreed
that all effort should be made into cooperation with other
cities and County Officials for the best plan for establishing a
Country wide plan.
Councilman Charleton moved that the bills presented by
the Clerk for payment be paid at the First National Bank of Tustin.
City vault #50 and treasures vault #26 for $7.00. Chas.E.Morris
was paid $49.00 to cover the bills. A final bill to Sully Miller
Company in clearing up all accounts for street improvement,$15.00.
Councilman Park seconded the motion for the payment of the bills.
Motion carried.
Councilman Jacobs moved that the meeting be adjourned.
Councilman Park seconded the motion. Motion Carried.
