MINUTES OF THE REGULAR SEMI MONTHLY
MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY HALL
OF TUSTIN ON MONDAY EVENING DEC.3,1945.
PRESENT WERE:COUNCILMEN: KIDD, CHARLETON, RAWLINGS,
PARK AND JACOBS.
ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: NONE
CITY ATTORNEY GEO. E. BRADLEY WAS PRESENT
CITY CONSULTING ENGINEER J.L.MC.BRIDE WAS ALSO PRESENT.
Mayor Kidd opened the meeting and called for the minutes
of the last to be read. They were adopted on the order of the mayor
there being no objection by other councilmen.
The County League of cities notified the Council of the
regular monthly meeting to be held on the evening of Dec. 13th
with a six thirty dinner to be served at the Country Club House,
and stated that it was to be Ladies Night. The Speaker of. the ev-
ening the notice stated was to be Brid. General Victor R Hanson,
and His subject Military Educational Training in Schools, and owing
to the Topic of Mr.Hansons address the League suggested that it
they that it would be a good idea to ask the Principals of the
Schools with the heads of Athletic Departments.

Appl - for
Taxi License Hugh J.Stanton representing the Stanton Bros Taxi Company
made a Written application for a business license to conduct a Taxi
service in Tustin with a Office Located with the P.D.Q. Station
at D and First Streets. The Council after fully checking into the
matter with the City Attorney decided to grant the License, Council-
man Charleton moved for the granting of the license provided that
a precaution be taken by the Taxi Firm to protect the City on
Liabillity Insurance by fileing a certificate of their Liability
Insurance Policy with the City Councilman Rawlings seconed the
Motion which carried.
The committee that had previously been before the Council
on the matter of the condition that Mr. D. K. Martins' Trailor Camp
on Mountain View was present at the meeting and had with
them Mr. Harbrough a representaive of the Health Department to go
into the matter of Trailor Camps and the regulating them to the
requirements of the City Ordinance for Trailor Camp Op-peration.
The Council ,Committee, and Mr. Harbrough were all agreeded that
all Trailor Camps must now comply with the requirement of the Ord-
nance in conducting the Camps.
Consulting Engineer McBride gave the Council a final
report on the Street Improvement (for Streets of Major Importance )
Pacific Street from first Street to Main Street, and the repairs on
other Streets of the City. Councilman Rawlings moved that the Council
addopt the engineers Report. Councilman Charleton 2nd. the motion.
the motion Carried.
Resolution Resolution No 166-Resolution of the City Council of the
No 166 City of tustin, Urging the State Legislature to appropiate
passed $90,000,000 of the States Surplus Funds to Cities and Counties
to assist in constructing essential public works. Councilman Park
moved the adoption of the resolution and theat the City Clerk send
Senator Thomas Kutchel and Assembleman Sam Collins and Clyde Watson
a coppy of the Resolution. Councilman Charleton 2nd the motion,and
on the vote for the adoption Councilman Rawlings voting a decenting
Vote. Motion Carried.
Councilman Park moved the the following Bills presented for
payment be paid. Demand #134 State Compensation Fund 294.34 Demand
#135 Chas. E.Morris 15.07 Demand 136 Union Oil Co 33.21 Councilman
Jacobs 2nd the Motion. Motion Carried. The meeting adjourned on the
Motion of Councilman Rawlings 2nd by Councilman Park Motion Carried.
