MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF TUSTIN HELD, IN THE CITY
HALL OF TUSTIN, ON MONDAY EVENING
NOVEMBER 5TH,1945.
PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: KIDD, PARK JACOBS RAWLINGS
AND CHARLETON,
ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: NONE
CITY ATTORNEY GEO.E. BRADLEY WAS PRESENT,
MAYOR KIDD ORDERED THE COUNCIL IN SESSION
AND CALLED FOR THE MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING. THEY WERE AP-
PROVED ON THE MOTION OF COUNCILMAN CHARLETON SECONDED BY COUN-
CILMAN PARK. MOTION CARRIED.
COMMUNICATIONS; IN THE COMMUNICATIONS THERE WAS A LETTER
FROM THE STATE BOARD OF EQUILZATION DATED OCT 22ND STATING
THAT EDWIN COX HAD WITHDHEW HIS APPLICATION FOR THE OFF SALE
WINE AND BEER LICENSE FOR 200 D. STREET. IN A LETTER FROM JOHN
CLEARY HE REQUESTED THE MAYOR AS ADJUTANT FOR POST 22 TUSTIN
AMERICAN LEGION POST TO APPROVE THE POSTS APPOINTMENT OF OHAS.
F. LOGAN AS CONTACT OFFICER FOR VETERANS OF WORLD WAR 2, AND APP-
OINTMENT OF MR. LOGAN. IT WAS MOVED BY C0UNCILMAN PARK AND
AND SECONED BY COUNCIMAN CHARLETON THAT THE TUSTIN AMERICAN
LEGION POST 22'S' SELECTION OF CHARLES F. LOGAN AS CONTACT OFF-
ICER TO ADVISE MEN OF THE SERVICE OF THEIR RIGHTS UNDER FEDERAL
LAW BE APPROVED BY THE COUNCIL AND THAT THE LOCAL LEGION POST
BE ADVISED OF THIS ACTION. MOTION CARRIED.
ClTY ATTORNEY BRADLEY REPORTED TO THE COUN-
CIL ON THE LEAGUE OF CITIES MEETING HELD IN ORANGE. THE PRINC-
IPAL BUSINESS WAS THE DISCUSSION OF WAYS AND MEANS OF GETTING
STATE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR POST WAR CONSTRUCTION. IT BECAME
EVIDENT, ACCORDING TO THE CITY ATTORNEY FROM THE AMOUNTS NEEDED
BY ORANGE COUNTY CITIES FOR POST WAR PLANS, THAT ANY FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE FROM THE STATE WOULD BE A VERY SMALL PART OF THE FIN-
ANCING NECESSARY. THE CITY ATTORNEY REPORTED TO THE GROUP THAT
SEWERS WAS THE IMPORTANT NEED FOR TUSTIN.
THE FOLLOWING BILLS WERE PRESENTED FOR PAY-

FURTHER INVESTIGATION COUNCILMAN PARK SECONED THE MOTION. MOTION
CARRIED.
COUNCILMAN PARK MOVED THE MEETING ADJOURN AND
COUNCILMAN CHARLETON SECONED THE MOTION.MOTION CARRIED.
