THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TUSTIN, HELD IN THE
CITY HALL OF TUSTIN AUG.
6TH, 1945 AT 7 O'CLOCK
PRESENT WERE:COUNCILMEN: KIDD, PARK, CHARLTON,
JACOBS AND RAWLINGS
ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: NONE
ATTORNEY GEO. E. BRADLEY WAS PRESENT
Mayor Kidd opened the meeting at the usual hour, and
the minutes of the last meeting of July 16th was read to the Council and
on the motion Councilman Charleton seconded by Councilman Jacobs they were
Approved. The Motion Carried.
In the Correspondance there was a letter from the Dept.
of Justice urging the Council to adopt the state wide Mutual Ade Plan for
Peace Officers. A letter from the County Auditor having the estemates of the
Valuation of the Tustin District. A letter from the City of Santa Ana
Chief Building Inspector announcing that on account of the shortage of help
that it was decided by the Council that the inspections for the City of
Tustin would have to be dropped. There was a letter from the State Board
of Equalization approving the City's assessing. Dept Public Works showing
Apportment of the 1/4 Cent Gas Tax. It was suggested by Councilman Park that
we interview the County Suporvisors and see if it would be possible to
have the County Inspector act as our inspectors. The Correspondence was
ordered filed.
Dave Carmicle of the Orange County Insurence Agency
was asked by the Board to go over the Insurance for the City and explain
the coverage in the last year of the three year contract for the City's
civerage on Insurance.
Attorney George Bradley then took up the matter of
the Budget for the coming Year and had Louis Hanson of the Diehl and com-
pany Auditors for the City in going over the Budget.
It was moved by Councilman Charlton answer seconded
by Councilman Park that there being no objections filed that the returns of
the Assessor be conformed and the equalization period be closed. Motion
carried.
RESOLUTION 163:
Councilman Park moved the adoption of Resolution No163.
This resolution covers the Mutual Ade plan on Peace Officers for the State.
Councilman Rawlings furnished the seconded to the motion, and the Motlon
Carried. On Roll Call all voted in the Affirmative.
Councilman Rawlings moved that the Bills Presented be
Paid. Councilman seconded the Motion. Motion carried
.

Councilman Rawlings moved for the adjourning of the
meeting Councilman Jacobs seconded the motion , motion cartied.
