Citizen Request for Tree Removal
Mr. John Piampiono of 153 N "C" Street has requested the two parkway
trees in front of his property at the above address be removed by the
city at the city's expense.
Mr. Piampiono states that the trees are diseased and infested with
insects.
The parkway trees in question ar~ two avocado trees, they have
hollow cavities in the trunks caused from dry rot and insects. The
trees are rather unsightly and are weakened from the hollow trunks.
They could blow down in a strong wind.
Letters were circulated among the neighbors informing them of the
reouest for the trees removal. No objections were received.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I recommend the trees be removed as requested and they be replaced
by the city, choosing a tree from the city approved list which is also
satisfactory with the homeowner.

Dear Homeowner:
Mr's. John and Nickolas J. Piampiano of 153 N. "C" Street have
requested that the city remove the trees in the parkway in
front of this residence.
The trees are infested with termites and diseased. Since the
removal of the trees would effect the environment in which
you live we are requesting your comments on their removal.
If you object to their removal we request in writing your
objections. If we have not heard from you within 10 days
we will assume you have no objections and the request will be
submitted to council for removal.
Sincerely,
