HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1945 06 0434 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN, MONDAY EVENING AT 7 P.M. JUNE 4, 1945 PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: .RAWLINGS, PARK AND JACOBS ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: KIDD AND HOWELL City Attorney George E. Bradley was present. In the absence of Mayor Kidd, who was ill in the hospital, Councilman Rawlings was chosen to act as mayor pro tem for the meeting, on the motion of Councilman Park and seconded by Councilman Jacobs. Motion carried. Mayor Pro tem Rawlings called the meeting to order and called for the minutes of the last meeting to be read. They were approved on the motion of Councilman Park, seconded by Councilman Jacobs, and carried. In communication, Councilman Howell sent in his written resignation from the Council. He stated that he regretted that it was necessary, as he was moving out ot the city. Councilman Park moved that the resignation of Councilman Howell be accepted as of June 4th. Councilman Jacobs seconded the motion, and the motion was carried. In the matter of the amount of pay for the hire of Hayden Helt who was hired to work in the street department in George H. Spicers place, who was out on account of illness, Councilman Park moved that the amount to be paid, should not exceed seventy-five (75¢) per hour. Councilman Jacobs seconded the motion which was carried. Street Superintendent Lentz reported that he had a man who could run the grader in cleaning up the Streets. He was authorized to proceed with the work on the motion of Councilman Park and seconded by Councilman Jacobs. The motion was carried. The following bills were presented and the payment of them was authorized on the motion of Councilman Jacobs and seconded by Councilman Park and the motion was carried. Bills -- Tustin Fire Department $72.00 Thelma Bauer (for office help) 21.00 Chas. E. Morris (small bills) 20.39 On the motion of Councilman Jacobs, the meeting adjourned, Councilman Park seconding the motion which carried. Chas E. Morris City Clerk Jerome C. Kidd Mayor
