HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1945 05 07 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN, MONDAY EVENING AT 7 O'Clock MAY 7, 1945. PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: KIDD,RAWLINGS, PARK, JACOBS, HOWELL. ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: NONE ATTORNEY GEO. E. BRADLEY WAS PRESENT. The meetong was called toorder by the Mayor Jerome C.Kidd and the Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and ap- proved on the motion of Councilman Howell and seconed by Councilman Park. The motion Carried. Consulting Engineer J.L.Mc Bride was present at the meeting,and explained to the Council that progress was being made on the prelimenary work and plans for the resurfacing of Pacific street, by the Sully Miller Contractors, and the work should be ready to start soon. Mc.Bride also gave the. Board his opinion on a Sanitary district for Tustin. (Adops ) (Resolution 157) Resolution #157 was adopped On the motion of Council- man Park and the second to the motion was made by Councilman Jacobs The resolution was to the Board of Supervisors of Orange County and in behaf of the interest of the Veteran coming out of the services. The Motion carried. As Roll call was all favorable none to the Contrary. Adops ) Resolution # 158 ) Resolution NO 158 giving the City athority to abate obnoxious weeds was adopped on the motion of Councilman Park and the second to the motion was given by Councilman Howell as the roll call was all favorable ,None to the contrary. The Motion Carried. Councilman Park moved that the City pay Chas. E. Morris on half a months pay for the Judges and Tax Collectors job in lieu of a vacation at this time. Councilman Howell seconed the motion. The motion Carried. Councilman Jacobs moved to pay the following bills Councilman Howell escorted the motion. Motion Carried. Bills Receipts Chas.
