MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY OF TUSTIN
MONDAY EVENING AT 7 P.M. April 16, 1945
PRESENT WERE: Councilmen: Kidd, Jacobs, Park, Rawlings and
Howell
ABSENT WERE: Councilmen: None.
The City Attorney Geo. E. Bradley was Absent.
Mayor Kidd opened the meeting at the usual hour
of 7 P.M., and the City Clerk read the minutes of the preceding
meeting. They were adopted on the motion of Councilman Park and
seconded by Councilman Rawlings.
The communication in form of a letter from the
property officer of the government asking for the return of the
old gas marks issued to Tustin was read. The Mayor and City clerk
are to arrange for them to be returned.
Resolution # 156 was discussed. It was decided to
follow the regular procedure in disposing of the weeds within the
city limits, notices to be posted to property owners that they may
either clear off their own weeds, or have the City do so, with cost
to be charged against the property. This was made in form of a
motion by Councilman Rawlings and seconded by Councilman Howell
The Adoption of Resolution #156. The motion was carried.
The best method for grading and paving the gutter
along the west side of the Advent Church Property at Main and Pacific
Streets was discussed. Tha Council agreed that a satisfactory method
could be worked out so that the gutter could be set out 8 - 10 feet
from the curb, thus making it possible for the people to get from
their cars to the sidewalk in rainy weather without having the water
in the gutter interfere.
Councilman Park moved that the bills presented be
paid. Councilman Jacobs seconded the motion, and same was carried.
Councilman Rawlings moved the meeting be adjourned
and Councilman Jacobs seconded the motion. The motion was carried.
