CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, HELD
IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN, MONDAY EVENING
APRIL 2ND AT 7 O' CLOCK 1945
PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: KIDD, PARK, JACOBS, RAWLINGS, AND HOWELL
ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: NONE
ATTORNEY GEO.E.BRADLEY WAS PRESENT.
Mayor Kldd called the meeting to order at the usual
time of seven oclock and requested the Clerk to read the minutes of
the last meeting. They were approved as corrected on the motion of
CouncilmanHowell and seconed by Councilman Park. The Motion Carried.
Communications; Chief Wm. Boyd Lentz wrote to the Coun-
cil stateing that the $40.00 now allowed for the maintanence of hss
Car was not sufficent to keep the Car with fuel and repairs with no
allowence for depreciation. The Council after deliberating agreed that
they too did not think that the $40.00 was enough and decided to make
the sum $75.00 for the use of his car as requested in his letter. Attorney
Bradley drafted a new Contract raising the allowence of $75.00 for the
use of the Maintanence of the Car and Councilman Park moved that the
new contract with Chief Lentz be approved and that the Mayor and Clerk
be authorized to sign the contract in behaf of the City Councilman
Howell seconed the Motion,and the motion Carried.
The Matter of vacations come up for the Men working on
the,Truck in the Street Department, and the Council voted to pay the
Men W.H.Landis and Geo. H.Spicer for two weeks in Lieu of their taking
time off for a vacation. Councilman Rawlings moved that the axtra be
made the workers and Councilman Howell second the motion. The Motion
Carried.
Councilman Howell moved that the following Bills that
were presented be Paid. Councilman Jacobs 2nd the motion. Motion Carried.
Councilman Rawlings moved that the meeting adjourn and
the secon to the motion was given by Councilman Park.Motion Carried.
