HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1944 11 2019 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN MONDAY EVENING AT 7 P.M. NOV. 20, 1944 PRESENT. WERE: COUNCILMEN: KIDD.RAWLINGS, AND PARK ABSENT. WERE: COUNCILMEN H0WELL AND GATES ATTORNEY GEO.E. BRADLEY WAS PRESENT. Mayor Kidd called the meeting to order and asked that the minutes of the previous meeting be read. the minutes of the the meeting were adopped on. the motion of Councilman Park and seconed by Councilman Rawlings Motion Carried. In the communications Lelend Finley of Santa Ana made a proposation to the City to pave the sidewalk from curb to his property line in front of their property on D.street if the City would pay half of the cost,but guaranteed the cost to not be more than$235.00 Councilman Park. moved that the City reimburse Mr. Finley in the Cost of putting in the sidewalk on a fifty fifty basis provided the cost did not exceed the $235.00 Councilman Rawlings seconed the motion. The Motion Carried. Councilman Gates tendered his resignation to the Board. He stated he did so with regrets but that as he was going to be away so much that it was necessary that he resigm. The consideration of the purposed recognization was defered until the next meeting. On the motion of Councilman Park and seconded by Cou- ncilman Rawlings The First National Bank of Tustin was approved for the depository of the City' s Funds Motion Carried. Councilman Rawlings reported he had had some figures on the Probable cost of surfacing of Pacific Street. The figures were based on the cost of a 20ft strip down the center of the street and would be in the neighborhood of $I400.00 No action was taken in the matter pending a report from the City Engineer. C.A.Vance was before the Board with a request that the Alley between Lot No. 10 and Lot 13 of Block 14 of the City of Tustin Tract be Closed from the south side of the beginning at Main street to where that Lot #3 intersepts the property with its Ally. He filed a deed for a ten foot Alley to aditional to the Alley between Lots 3and4 of Block 14 City of Tustin Tract provided that the south half of the other Alley be abanded Councilman Park moved that the Bills be paid To Chas. E.Morris for the Bill of Mrs Hayden $48.00 Union Oil Company 3.25 The First Nat Bank Box Rent Councilman Rawlings seconed the motion. the Motion Carried. On the Motion of Councilman Rawlings and seconed by Councilman Park the Meeting was adjourned. Motion Carried. Chas. E. Morris City Clerk Jerome C. Kidd Mayor
