HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1944 11 06182 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN MONDAY EVENING AT 7 0' CLOCK NOVEMBER 6TH 1944. PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: KIDD, PARK, RAWLINGS, HOWELL ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: GATES CITY ATTORNEY GEO. E. BRADLEY WAS PRESENT. MayorKidd called the meeting to order and asked for the reading of the minutes of the last meeting. The minutes were approved on the motion of Councilman Rawlings and second by Councilman Howell. Motion Carried. Communications were next in the order of business and the Compensation Insurance Companys statement to the city on Compensation Insurance was read and the bill for the year was O.Kayed with other bills for the meeting the amount was $306.01. Mr. Gripper of the Engineering Division of the State Highways Department enclosed a communication from Mr.G.T. McCoy in his letter of October 30th, approving the request of the Council that Pacific Street from First Street to Main Street be included in the system of Streets of Major importance. How to improve and how much improvements for Pacific Street was up for discussion by the Council and after going over the matter fully it was decided to have an Engineers report on the cost for a full coverage for the street from curb or the cost of a strip down the center was the best method for the improvement. Councilm Rawlings moved that no action by the Council be taken in the matter until the Engineer made a reoport on the cost of the imrovement,Councilman Park gave the second to the motion Motion Carried. The matter of grades for Curbs and sidewalks for the property owners who wished to put in their Curbs and side- walks was was looked on with favor and the Council felt there would an effort made to accommodate any application, and on on the motion of Coucilman Rawlings and seconed by Councilman Park that the City would furnish grades on application was passed favorable. as the motion carried. On the matter of Business License License Collector Lentz reported that several new License had benn added to the list and more was promised to make the list more complete than in the past. Bills were ask for by the mayor and on the motion of Councilman Howell and seconed by Councilman Park they were orded paid Motion Carried. E.Morris 12.29 Total 277.90 Councilman Rawlings moved that the meeting Adjourn Councilman Howell seconed the Motion.
