MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY HALL
OF TUSTIN, AT ' O'CLOCK P.M. AUG.
21ST, 1944.
PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: Kidd, Rawlings, Gates and Howell
ABSENT WERE COUNCILMEN; Forney
City Attorney Bradley was present.
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor Kidd
who orded the clerk to read the minutes of the last meeting. The
minutes were adopted.
Mr Frank of the Deihland Company Auditors for the
City was invited by the Mayor to go over our Financial affairs and
to assist the Council in creating a budget for the coming year. The
Budget when set up showed a decrease of near $200.00. Last years be-
ing 17250.00 and the one desided on for this year 17070.00. The Auditor
explained to the Council how we stood in the verious department of
the Cities holdings and reported a Cash Balance of 12,839. Balance
at the colse of the fiscal year. Councilman Rawlings moved that the
budget as set fourth in resolution #151 be adopted Councilman Howell
made the second to the motion Motion Carried. RolI call on the Reso-
lution Councilman Kidd Voted Aye, Rawlings Aye, Gates Aye and Howell
Aye-None to the Contrary Councilman Forney was Absent.
Mr. Frank made the proposation to Audit the Books,and
to get the City out a quarterly statement for Council and to post the
accounts for an anuel fee of $200.00 the offer was accepted for the
account of the City by the motion of Councilman Rawllngs and seconed
by Councilman Howell Motion Carried.
Mayor Kidd reported to the Council that the Seagrave
Pump and Fire Truck was due for a checking over,and thought that it
would be adviseable to have the Seagraves people take it into Los -
Angeles to have the work done. The Members of the Council all was of
the opinion that it was a good Idea to see that the Truck was kept
in good Order. Councilman Gates moved that the Mayor take the necess
ary steps to have the work done Councilman Rawlings furnished the sec-
ond to the motion. Motion Carried.
Councilman Rawlings moved to have the Streets restrip-
ed, and to have the stalls made wider by about one foot. Councilman
Gates 2nd the motion. The Motion Carried.
Councilman Gates moved that Bills Be Paid Councilman
Howell seconed the motion. Motion Carried.
