OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY HALL
OF TUSTIN MONDAY EVENING JULY
3RD 1944 AT 8 0'CLOCK.
PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: KIDD, RAWLINGS, GATES, HOWELL & FORNEY.
ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: NONE
CITY ATTORNEY GEO. E. BRADLEY WAS PRESENT.
Mayor Kldd called the meeting to order and asked
for the minutes of the last meeting to be read which were ap-
proved when read by the Clerk.
Kenneth Golding was before the Board to ask about the
putting in Tile Pipe in the ditch in front of his Home on west
Main Street. He explained that the ditch was so deep that there
was no chance of parking except out in the street. Street Com-
missioner Rawlings promised to investigate the matter and bring
his recomendation for a correction at the Councils next meeting.
Crossing Signs On the Motion of Councilman Howell and seconed by Council-
to be man Forney Street Superintenent was instructed to have repaired
Repaired. Speed and Crossing Signs so that they be put in propper condition.
Motion Carried.
Resolution
#150 Adopted Resolution # 150 was adopted on the motion of Councilman
Forney and seconed by Councilman Howell. The Resolution sets fourth
the agreement between tha City and Chief of Police whereby $40.00
is allowed toward the expense and maintanence of the Police Car
used for the CityRoll Call Councilman Kidd, Aye Rawlings Aye Howell
Aye Gates Aye And Forney Aye None to the Contreay Motion Carried.
It was moved by Councilman Forney and seconed by Councilman
Gates that the City accept the transfer of the Title of the De Sota
Carof Chief of Police Lentz in order that the same may be clas-
sified as an emergency Vehicle, said Car to be retransferred
on demand for the Consideration of $1.00 and that the Mayor and
Clerk be authorized to bind the City to a contract with Said
Wm.B.Lentzto that effect, said contract dated July 3, 1944.
motion carried.
Councilman Gates moved that the Insurance on Chief Lentz
Car be paid by the City and that the Insurance be adjusted as of
June 20th1944. and that the Clerk see that such adjustment be made
by the Insurance Company Councilman Forney made the secon to the
motion Motion Carried.
the Council Instructed Licese Collector Lentz to inform
the Santa Ana Independent that effective as of July 19,1944 that
Ordinance #52 ammended by Ordinance # 66 will call for papers that
are disteibuted to other that subscribers will require a license
at the rate of $5.00 per day.
Councilman Rawlings moved that the City acquire the ser-
vices of Diehl and Company as Auditors for the Coming year. Coun-
cilman Forney seconed the motion Motion Carried.
It being the time for the Council to meet as the board
of equalization,The Mayor so announced. .There being no business
to tranact in that reguard, and no objections having been filed
it was moved and seconed that the matter of equalazation be
continued from day to day. Motion carried and so orded.
It was moved by Councillman Gates and escorted by
Councilman Howell that the following Bills be paid Motion Carried.

On the Motion Of Councilman Gates and seconed by Councilman
Forney the Meeting was adjorned. Motion Carried.
