THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY HALL OF
TUSTIN CALIFORNIA MONDAY
MAY 15TH 1944
PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: Kidd, Rawlings, Gates and
Howell.
ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: Forney
GEORGE E.BRADLEY WAS PRESENT.
Mayor Kidd called the meeting to order and the minutes
of the last meeting were read and approved,on the motion of
Councilman Rawlings and seconed by Councilman Gates Motion Carried.
Communications; Jack V.Claborn presents his resignation
as chief of Police,License Collector and Street Superintendent for
the Cily of Tustin to take effect upon its acceptance by the Council,
upon the motion of Councilman Rawlings and the second by Councilman
Gates Claborn was granted a vacation with pay to June 5th at which
time his resignation would become effective. Motion Carried.
Boyd Lentz makes a written application for the position
of Chief of Police vacated by Jack V.Claborn. No action on the ap-
plication was taken.
1/4 Cent Gas
Tax Agreement Agreement for the expenditure of the 1/4 Cent Gas tax was
signed received from the State Highway Division. The Agreement is for the
by the Ma- manitanence of Streets of Major importance within the City,and
yor on the motion of Councilman Rawlings and seconed by Councilman
Howell Mayor Kidd was authorized to sign the contract representing
the City Motion Carried.
Clerk Signs Councilman Rawlings moved that the City Clerk be author-
Pink Slip ised to sign the Pink Slip to Jack V.Claborns Car transfering
to Clab- Title back to himself the second to the motion was made by
orns Car. Councilman Gates. Motion Carried.
On the motion of Councilman Howell and seconed by coun-
cilman Gates the following bills were orded paid.

Councilman Rawlings moves for adjournment of the meeting and
Councilman Gates makes the second to the motion. Motion Carried.
