HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1944 03 06 MINUTES OF THE "' REGULAR SEMI MONTITLY MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN HELD IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN, MONDAY EVENING A 7 O'CLOCK MARCH 6TH 1944. PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: KIDD, RAWLINGS, BROOMELL AND GATES ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN:. FORNEY ATTORNEY GEO.E.BRADLEY WAS PRESENT The meeting was called to order by the Mayor Jerome C Kidd,and the minutes of the last meeting was read and approved. Refund on Communications were the next in order,and a letter Business from Ralph King protesting the Business License Charged for the License Trailer Camp last year where other such establishments were not Made to charged for the Trailor Camp in addition to Camp Sightes or Mot- R.King els he sighted. After questioning the License Collector the Council voted to refund the anount of $12.00 to Mr. King on the motion of Councilman Broomell and seconed by Councilman Rawlings. Motion Carried. Street Superintendent reported a tree at 117 Mountain View raising the sidewalk with the roots to where it was ahazard to people passing other such conditions were sighted about Town but no action was taken in the matter. Punch Boards Vending Machines A discussion on Licensening Business developed that and according to Sec#15 of Ordi #52 Slot Machines, Vending Machines rending Machines Slot Machines punch Boards call for a License Fee of $15.00 per year each, and to Pay no license has been collected on them to date. The License collectorar e~oh, and License Claborn was instructed by the Council to precede to collect all such License covered by and in accordinance with the Ordinance. The payment of Collision Insurance on Chief Claborns Car for his recent reck was in the final settled by the City pay- ing the $100.00 premium in the Retention Insurance for the Car. There was adifference in opinions in the matter as to who was to pay for the Insurance. Councilman Broomell moved that the City stand the cost and pay the Bill and it was seconed by Councilman Rawlings Motion Carried. Street Commissioner Gates informed the Council that He and Street Superintendent Claborn would figure out a way of getting some of the Big holes that are in some of the Streets filled and some Street repairs along this line done. There being no further business coming before the Board Bills were called for and the following were presented and orded paid in the motion of Councilman Gates and seconed by Councilman Rawlings, Motlon Carried, Monthly Salaries For Feb.
