HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1943 09 20 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR SEMI MONTHLY MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OFTHE CITY OF TUSTIN HELD IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN SEPTEMBER 20TH AT 7 P.M., 1943. PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: KIDD, RAWLINGS, AND FORNEY. ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: BROOMELL AND GATES ATTORNEY GEO.E. BRADLEY WAS PRESENT. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Jerome C.Kidd and the minutes of the meeting of Sept. 7th were called for and were approved when read. Communications were gone over and there being nothing of much importance were orded flled. Attorney Bradley reported progress in the matter of the claim of the City for damage done by the Consumers Transfer Company in the spilling of Oil on the Street at First and D , and the matter being represented by the National Causalty Company Claim Agents for the Trans- fer Company. On the motion of Councilman Rawlings and seconed by Coun- cilman Forney the City Attorney was Instructed to flle suit if neces- ary to clear up the matter of Claim for the City. Motion Carried. Mr. Woodward of Irvine a Member of the Grange of Tustin come befor the Council to ask that the Council co-operate with them in arangeing withe Church People next Door to have it more Quiet at time of their meetings so that the meeting could be carried on,as it was it was impissible to do so. The Councilmen assured Mr. Woodward that the matter would be looked into. On the Motion of Councilman Rawlings and seconed by Councilman Forney W.H.Landis of the Street Dept was granted a pay raise from $125.00per month to $135.00. Motion Carried. On the Motion of Councilman Forney and seconed by Councilman Rawlings the following Bills were orded Paid Motion Carried Semi Monthly Salaries- Joseph Flowerbird Warrent # 450 92.93 Geo H.
