HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1943 09 07 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR SEMI MONTHLY MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL. OF TUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN. TUESDAY EVENING AT 7 O'CLOCK SEPT. 7,1943. PRESENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: Kidd, Gates, Forney and Broomell ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN: Rawlings Attorney Geo. E. Bradley was Present, The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kidd and the Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved, Auditors There were no communications of importance for the Council Report but the Anual Report of The Cities Auditors Diel&Edwards was reviewed and a study of the report fully made. Chief of Police Claborn reported that he had arranged with McCarthy to resume his work as Crossing Gard for the School on the 20th and that the salary would be the same as last year $40.00 per month, Resolution Mayor Kidd reported that no objections had been filed or No 138 no protests made on the Street Superintendents Weed abatement re- Adptd. port and resolution # 138 pertaining to the report was adopted on the motion of Councilman Broomell and seconed by Councilman Forney (Roll Call Motion Carried. (Councilman Kidd , Gates, Forney,and Broomell Aye (None to the contrary Counoilman Rawlings was absent Resolution Resolution #139 Fixing the Tax rate of 100 cents upon No 139 each $100.00. Assessed Valuation and taxable property for the City Adpted for the Current year of 1943-1944- was adopted on the motion of Councilman Broomell and seconed by Councilman Gates. Roll Call: Councilman Kidd aye Gates, Aye Forney Aye and Broomell aye all voting in the informative, none to the contrary Councilman Rawlings was absent. Motion Carried On the motion of Councilman Forney and seconed by Coun- cilman Gates the Street Superintendent was instructed to put the Street Grader in good order by doing what was nessary to re- pair it fully. Motion Carried. On the motion of Councilman Forney and seconed by Councilman Broomell the following bills were orded paid. Motion Carried.
