HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1943 01 04 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN HELD IN THE CITY,OF TUSTIN AT 7 O'CLOCK P.M. JANUARY 4,1943 PRESENT WERE:COUNCILMEN KIDD,RAWLINGS, AND FORNEY. Attorney GEORGE E.BRADLEY WAS PRESENT. ABSENT WERE: COUNCILMEN CAWTHON AND GATES. A Resolution H.H. Hannaford Deputy Assessor for Tustin the past year to corre- Come before the Council to state the fact that he had errored ect an in assessing the property of Byron J.Crawford Assessment #169 error for 1942-43 and sighted the the Improvements had a double Assess- Assess- ment of $1055.00 and $755.00 respectively, and that the 1055.00 ment assessment was in error, and the this same amount af Assessment Adopted had been made against the property since 1938-39 as shown on the assessment # 163. thishe claimes was in error in making the assess- ment as the $755.00 value is all that should of been placed against the property. The matter was goneover fully by the Council and the City Attorney Bradley who advised that a correction was possible as it was evident that an error had been made. On the motion of Councilman Rawlings and seconed by CouncilmanForney the Attorney was instructed to draft a resolution Authorizing City Assessor Chas. E.Morris to make the correction of assessment on the Property the Motion Carried. Sewer- The matter for Sewerang for Tustin come up for discussion and it age was suggested that it would be a good idea if possible to have some for information on the subject by some one that would be versed on the Tustin subject, as we would some day be called on for a sewer system and the discuss- name of the manager of the out fall Sewerage for the Joint out fall ed sewerage system J.L McBride was suggested as the one who could best advise on the subject and the Clerk was instructed to write to Mr. McBride and see if he could be has for our next meeting. There being no further business coming before the meeting Bill were called for and the following were presented and orded paid.
