HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1942 11 16 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR SEMI-MONTHLY MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, HELD AT THE CITY HALL, IN THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, AT SEVEN O,CLOCK, ON MONDAY NOVEMBER 16, 1942. COUNCILMEN Present; Kidd, Cawthon, Forney and Rawlings. COUNCILMEN Absent; Gates. Minutes of the last regular meeting of the Council were read and approved. Mr. Winchell, of the Winchell Brothers of Santa Ana, came before the Board requesting a letter to the Transportation authority at Washington D.C. as he had letters from the Lighter than Air Base Commander, Packing House and other institutions urging them to grant the priority for equipment to establish the Bus line for which he had received a Franchize from the State Railroad Commission. Councilman Rawlings moved that Mayor Kidd Write a letter to Washington D.C. authorities for Mr. Winchell. The motion was seconded by Councilman Forhey. Motion Carried. 1st reading of Ordinance 63, amending section one of City Ordinance #9. On the motion of Councilman Rawlings, seconded by Councilman Cawthon Mrs. Mary Howell was appointed as the Secretary for the Defence Council of Tustin. Motion Carried. Fred Alkire and his associates made a request for a Radio hookup through the City of Tustin for his Ambulance Company. After much disscussion it was finally decided to ask for further investagation before allowing the hookup through our Police radio. On the Motion of Councilman Forney, seconded by Councilman Rawlings, it was decided that the City of Tustin purchase a map of the county from Hearne Brothers of Detroit, Mich. Motion Carried Councilman Forney moved the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Councilman Rowlings. Motion Carried. Chas. E. Morris City Clerk Jerome C. Kidd Mayor
