HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1942 11 02 MINUTES OF THE MONTHLY MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, HELD IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN, MONDAY NOVEMBER 2, 1942 AT 7 P.M. COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Kidd, Rawlings, Gates, Forney and Cawthon COUNCILMEN ABSENT: None. Comunications were read and disposed of Minutes of last council meeting read and approved. Attorney Bradley took up and read Ordinance # 60 covering General DeWitt's Proclamation # 10 as amended by #12 on the Dim-out regulation for the District and the manner of Prosecution of the violators by the authority the Ordinance would give to the City. Councilman Forney moved that the Ordinance be adopted Councilman Rowlings seconded and on Roll call the followings a answered in the affirmative Councilman Kidd, Rowlings, Gates, Forney and Cawthon None to the contrary the motion carried. Transportation was the next subject and as there had been nothing heard from the Railroad Commission on granting a Franchise for a Buss line to Tustin, the clerk was instructed to take the matter up with them for any information that might be had on the subject. L.K. Steveson submitted a bid on several bad Trees that needed attention in the City parkings and on the motion of Councilman Rowlings, seconded by Councilman Cawthon his bid was accepted on an aggregate of $63.00 worth of work. The motion carried. Councilman Cawthon thought perhaps he could get some help in clearing weeds out of the gutters along the street for the Street Dept. in getting the gutters cleaned before the rains. On the motion of Councilman Rowlings, seconded by Councilman Gates, Geo. H. Spicer was installed in O.C. Phillips place on the Trash Truck as Phillips was abducted in the Army. Motion Carried Attorney Bradley explained an amendmet he thought necessary to Ordinance #25 amending section one of Ordinance #9 to more clearly define its meaning for working purposes here in Tustin. Councilman Rowlings was granted full power to have erected Barriers for Third Street at the B. and C. Street entrances to the school grounds.
