HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1942 09 21 400 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR SEMI MONTHLY MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN HELD IN THE CITY HALL OF TUSTIN 21, 1942 AT 8 P.M. Councilmen Present were; Kidd,Forney and Gates Councilmen Absent were; Cawthon and Rawlings Attorney Bradley was Present. The Minutes Of the last meeting of September 8th were read and approved. Trees to be Mr. J.H. Brown of Santa Ana had the attention of the Council Trimed and first and gave them a bid on the relmoving and trimming up Cut down some of the trees in the parkings that has become dangerous to left standing. The total aggerate of the cost to be $125.00 and a list of what is to be done is shown in the bid submitted. On the motion of Councilman Forney and seconed by Councilman Gates the Bid was accepted as the Motion Carried, The completeing of Appointments for the Council for Civilian Conform- defense was made as all the names representing the various ation of groups were in and on the motion of Conncilman Forney and the members to seconding by Councilman Gates the following names were confirmed es ~ e fS1 ow Complete Mrs. Violet Irvine of the Parent Teachers Association, Mr. C.W. Civilian Jackson from the Amercan Legend, and Walter Perozzi from the Council K.P.Lodgeand Chas. E. Morris from the City Official list. The to twelve the motion carried. A letter from Eleanor Haslop protesting the Bill from the City for the Fire Departments services at a fire at her Place was read to the Council and the decission of the Council was to have the Clerk notify her that the charges were regular and She would be expected to pay the Bill. Resolution Resolution # 128 calling for the adjustment of the Claim for #128 a Soldiers Exemption by C.J. Sarwice was Adopted the motion Adopted of Councilman Forney and seconed by Councilman Gates and the ~'~ Roll call resulted in Councilman Kidd Aye Forney Aye and Gates Aye. Motion Carried. Mayor Kidd appointed Councilman Gates to Cimmisioner of Streets and Parks. Filling the Office heald by former Councilman Bixler. The City Clerk was autherised to sign in behalf of the City the Pink Slip to the Chief of Polices Motorcycle which is owned by himself but which stands in the name of the City as he has decided to dispose of the Motorcycle. On the motion of Councilman Gates seconed by Councilman Forney the Clerk was autherised to execute the Pink slip in behalf of the CIty.
