HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1941 05 05 May 5, 1941 Minutes of the regular Semi-monthly meeting of the City Council, of the City of Tustin, held at the City Hall, in the City Hall, in the City of Tustin,California,May 5, 1941. 8 p.m. Councilmen present; Wilson, Logan and Kidd.-Absent, Kiser, Minutes of the last regular semi-monthly meeting of the council,held Aprit 21, 1941, were read and approved. Cap. Hilyard, Orange County Surveyor, gave a report con- cerning certain street work in Tustin, with suggestions, which were accepted. Cancelation Motion by Councilman Logan, seconded by Councilman Kidd, Hatden that Mayor Wilson be instructed to sign notice of cancelation Bonds of bonds of D.T.Hayden securing him as City Clerk and as City Recorder. Motion carried and so ordered. Several communications were read and ordered filed. Auditors Motion by Councilman Logan, seconded by Councilman Kidd Report that the audit report by Diehl & Edwards, of the books of the Accepted City Clerk and the City Recorder, covering the period of July 1,1940 to March 15, 1941 inclusive, be accepted. Motion carried and so ordered. Resolution Moved by Councilman Kidd, seconded by Councilman Logan, that #106 Resolution No. 106, providing for posting certain lots concern- adopted. ing the removal of weeds from same, as required by LAW. be adopt- Weeds ed. Sale of Motion by Councilman Logan, seconded by Councilman Kidd that Poppies the Ladies Auxilliary of the American Legion be commissioned to sell Disabled Veterans Poppies on the streets of Tustin on Sat- urday, May 24, 1941. Motion carried and so ordered. Comm. After the committee-Councilman Kidd and Chief Stanton- ~'~ Report. reported their findings pertaining to opinions of business- men the amount charged for business licences in Tustin, a mo- tion was made by Councilman Logen, seconded by Councilman Kidd to instruct the City Attorney to draw up an amendment to Ordi- Ordinance nance No. 4, making changes in chargesfor certain business #4 Changed licences as follows; all businesses at present paying fifteen (Licence dollars ($15.00) or more for business licences, the same to be reduced to twelve dollars ($12.O0) per annum, effective July 1, 1941.
