HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1940 11 07345 November 7, 1940 Minutes of the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Tustin, held in the city hall of the City of Tustin, California, November 4, 1940 at 8:00 P.M. Present Councilmen: Wilson, Logan, Kiser,Kidd Absent Councilmen: Babcock Minutes of the regular meeting held October 21, 1940 were read and approved. Moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Councilman Permission Logan, that the Christian Adventist Church be granted granted church permission to erect two signs with the City of Tustin, to erect one at the southeast corner of D Street and Main Street, signs and one at the southwest corner of First and Pacific Streets. Carried and so ordered. Moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Councilman Advertizing Kidd, that the City set up an advertizing fund for future fund use, and that the City Clerk be instructed to transfer from the general fund the sum of $ 50.00. Carried and so ordered. Moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Councilman $25.00 for Kidd, that the City spend the sum of $25.00 to aid in float the building of a float for the Armistice Day parade, to promote patriotism and national defense, same to be drawn from the advertizing fund. Carried and so ordered. Moved by Councilman Logan, seconded by Councilman Kiser, that the following bitds be paid and warrants drawn for their respective amounts: H. O. Crowe, plumbing inspector $ 5.06 Bills to be W.O. Packard, electrical inspector 6.33 paid Harold Rasmussen, building inspector 19.79 Tustin Fire Department 12.00 Los Angeles Stamp and Stationery Co. 2.78 Hockaday and Phillips Inc. 10.01 Becker's Garage 6.65 Southern Counties Janitor Supply 1.13 J. A. Woolley 29.00 K. J. Cawthon 12.31 H. D. Carson 20.74 The Tustin Nrws 22.86 State Compensation Insurance Fund 327.05 First National Bank, Tustin (Service Bills) 26.55 Sam Long, postmaster 6.00 James Farrage, M.D. 12.00 Tustin Hardware Company 1.03 Carried and so ordered.
