HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1940 07 15336 July 15, 1940 Minutes of the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Tustin, held in the City Hall, in the City of Tustin, California, July 15th, 1940, at 8:00 P. M. Present Councilmen: Wilson, Babcock, Kidd, Logan, Kiser. Absent Councilmen: None Minutes of the last regular meeting held July 1st, 1940, were read and approved. Carmickel Mr. David Carmickel, of Orange County Insurance appears Agency, appeared before the Council, with recommendations on Insurance coverage. Fire hose Moved by Councilman Kidd, seconded by Councilman to be Logan that the City of Tustin purchase five hundred feet purchased of two and one-half inch Goodrich fire hose, from Roy G. Davis Company at a price of 62-1/2 cents per foot, plus tax. Carried and so ordered. Weeds to Moved by Councilman Logan, seconded by Councilman Kiser, be sprayed that the City Clerk be authorized to issue, to the County by County of Orange, an order to have puncture weed sprayed within the City. Carried and so ordered. Moved by Councilman Babcock, seconded by Councilman Inspectors Kidd, that the following inspectors be appointed in and appointed for the City of Tustin: Building Inspector Harold O. Rasmussen Plumbing Inspector Harry Crowe Electrical Inspector W. O. Packard and that their compensation be set at $ 1.00 per hour and five cents per mile from tne City Hall in Santa Ana, for time actually devoted to the work of inspection, sub- ject to the consent of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California. Carried and so ordered. Garbage Moved by Councilman Logan, seconded by Councilman contract Kiser, that the contract with Dr. C. E. Price, for the purchase of garbage from the City of Tustin be renewed, on the same terms as before, $ 50.00 per year. Carried and so ordered. Moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Councilman Babcock, that the foIIowing bills be paid and warrants drawn for their respective amounts: Bills to be paid B. F. Handley $ 43.20 Orange County Blueprint Shop 1.05 Tustin Hardware Company 4.47 H. D. Carson 6.02 Lois Kiser 2.25 Jesse L. Elliott .60 The Tustin News 3.92 Sam McCulla 13.20 Orange County Treasurer 1.00 Arthur B. Wade 3.00 Orange County League of Municipalities 6.00 Carried and so ordered.
