Minutes of the regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Tustin, held in the city hall,
in the City of Tustin, California, July 1, 1940 at
8:00 P.M.
Present Councilmen: Wilson, Babcock, Kidd, Logan, Kiser
Absent Councilmen: None
Minutes of the last regular meeting held June
17th, 1940 were read and approved.
Moved by Councilman Babcock, seconded by Council-
man Kidd, that Resolution No. 99, A RESOLUTION OVER-
RULING PROTESTS OR OBJECTIONS TO REPORT OF STREET
SUPERINTENDENT ON WEED CLEANING AND THE EXPENSES THERE-
OF, APPROVING REPORT, AND ORDERING A COPY THEREOF
FILED WITH THE CITY ASSESSOR AND CITY TAX COLLECTOR,
be approved and adopted. Carried and so ordered.
Moved by Kiser, seconded by Councilman Logan,
that Project Statement No. 6 be approved. Carried
and so ordered.
Moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Councilman
Babcock, that Resolution No. 100, A RESOLUTION OF THE-
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, DES-
IGNATING STREETS OF MAJOR IMPORTANCE OTHER THAN STATE
HIGHWAYS WITHIN THE CITY OF TUSTIN, FOR THE PURPOSE OF
ALLOCATION THEREOF, AND EXPENDITURE THEREON, OF THE NET
PROCEDES OF ONE-QUARTER CENT PER GALLON TAX ON MOTOR
VEHICLE FUEL PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 194 and 195 OF
THE STREET AND HIGHWAY CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
be approved and adopted. Carried and so ordered.
J. H. Brown filed a notice of completion on his
contract with the City of Tustin on removal of trees.
Moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Councilman
Logan, that the balance of $ 70.00 be paid to J. H.
Brown and Ernest Ladd on their contract with the City
of Tustin for removal of trees, the contract having
been completed. Carried and so ordered.
Moved by Councilman Babcock, seconded by Council-
man Logan, that the request for a permit to establish
a chicken feeding and marketing business within the
City of Tustin, by Mr. Windel be denied. Carried and
Moved by Babcock, seconded by Councilman Logan, that the
Travelers Insurance Company Policy No. FA 1363444
dovering Non-ownership liability, with the City be
renewed and the Premium in the sum of $ 18.70 be
paid. Carried and so ordered.
Moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Council-
man Kidd, that the following bills be paid and
warrants drawn for their respective amounts:
