Minutes of the regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Tustin, held in the city hall in the
City Of Tustin, California, March 18, 1940 at 8:00
P. M.
Present Councilmen: Huntley, Logan, Pieper, Kiser
Wilson
Absent Councilmen: None
Minutes of the last meeting held March 4, 1940
were read and approved.
Moved by Councilman Pieper, seconded by Councilman
Kiser, that the eucalyptus tree on Second Street be
removed. Carried and so ordered.
Moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Councilman
Logan, that the Wayne Runnells bid of $ 103.00
to remove said eucalpytus tree on Second Street, and
also pepper tree at Sixth and B Street, cypress tree
on South C Street, trim and top pepper tree on south
Prospect and dispose of same, be accepted. Carried
and so ordered.
Moved by Councilman Logan, seconded by Councilman
Kiser that the City Attorney Preston Turner be and
hereby is appointed on the City Planning Commission
to replace the late Morris Cain, deceased. Carried
and so ordered.
Moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Councilman
Logan, that the bill from J. B. Cameron, Notary Public
Golden State Building, 25 Taylor Street, San Fran-
cisco for depositions taken in re: Rose Andfade Vs.
The City of Tusiin, et.al., San Francisco Municipal
Court, #125035, which is one-half of the costs of an
original and two copies of the deposition of Rose
Andfade and John W. Petit, 185 folios at 25 cents
per folio in the sum of $ 46.25 and to process
server and their attorneys, the sum of $ 5.00,
making a total of $ 51.25 be accepted and ordered
paid. Carried and so ordered.
Moved by Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman
Pieper that the following bills be paid and warrants
drawn for their respective amounts:
F. H. Holford $ 40.00
Union Oil Company 3.41
C. O. Sparks 41.60
Carried and so ordered.
Moved by Councilman Logan, seconded by Councilman
Wilson, that the city buy a new battery for the
fire truck, the same type and capacity as of before.
Carried and so ordered.
Moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Council-
man Pieper, that tentative map, Tract No. 1059,
Hewes Park, which is subdivision of Lot 9, Tract
No 440 "Hewes Park Tract" map, B1.16, pgs. 21 & 22
Misc. maps, records of Orange County, Calif. Geo.
L. Bates Ls. March 8, 1940 tendered by the Orange
County Planning Commission to the City of Tustin
for approval, be approved. Carried and so ordered
Moved by Councilman Pieper, Seconded by Council
man Wilson that meeting be adjourned. Carried and
so ordered.
