Minutes of the regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Tustin, held in the City Hall, in the City of
Tustin, California, October 3, 1938 at 8:00 P. M.
Present Councilmen: Logan, Pieper, Kiser, Wilson.
Absent Councilmen: Huntley
Mayor Huntley, being absent from said meeting, D. T.
Hayden City Clerk called the meeting to order, and asked that
some member of the Council be selected as acting Mayor for
the purpose of said meeting. Whereupon Councilman Kiser
nominated Councilman Logan to act as Mayor for the purpose of
said meeting, said nomination was seconded by Councilman
Pieper. It was regularly moved and seconded that the nomina-
tions be closed. On roll call by the City Clerk, D. T. Hayden,
Councilman Pieper, Kiser and Wilson voted in favor of Council-
man Logan to act as Mayor for the purpose of said meeting.
There were no negative votes and Councilman Logan took the
chair as acting Mayor.
Minutes of the meeting held September 19, and 26, 1938
were read and approved.
Written communications were read and ordered filed.
Moved by Councilman Pieper, seconded by Councilman
Wilson that the City Engineer be instructed to procede
with the preliminary work on the swere project. Carried and
so ordered.
Moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Councilman Wilson
that the request of the Coca Cola Bottling works, to erect a
sign on the Preston and Cox market be granted. Carried
and so ordered.
Moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Councilman Pieper,
that Resolution No. 85 be introduced and adopted. Carried
and so ordered.
Moved by Councilman Pieper, seconded by Councilman Kiser
that the following bills be payed and warrants be drawn for
their respective amounts:

M. P. Thompson 5.63
Thomas J. Wilson 4.00
Tustin Hardware Company 1.80
J. G. Tucker and Son 7.36

Orange County Blue Print Shop 7.36
Sam Long 4.60
Carried and so ordered.
Moved by Councilman Pieper, seconded by Councilman
Kiser to adjourn. Carried and so ordered.
