Minutes of the regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Tustin, held in the City Hall in the City
of Tustin, California, May 2, 1938.
Present Councilmen: Pieper, Wilson, Kiser, and Logan
Absent Councilmen: Huntley
In the absence of the Mayor, meeting was called to
order by City Clerk, D. T. Hayden.
Moved by Councilman Pieper, seconded by Councilman
Kiser that Counoilman Logan act as Mayor. Carried and so
ordered.
Minutes of the last regular meeting held April 18,
1938 were read and approved.
Discussion oI Mr. Clarence Bowman and Mrs. Carlyn Campbell, were
moving of heard under the order of oral communications, and stated
Library that they represent two thirds of the Library Board,
and discussed the feasabillty of a change of location
of the present quarters now occupied, same held over
to next regular meeting.
Sewer project City Engineer W. K. Hillyard reported that the
incomplete sewer project under discussion, was still incomplete.
City to pay Moved by Councilman Pieper, seconded by Councilman
lights for Kiser, that tne City of Tustin, pay the lignt bill on the
ball park grammar school grounds for ball park one night a week,
from the 15th of May 1938 to the 15th Of September 1938,
from the hours of 7 P. M. to 10:00 P. M. Carried and so
ordered.
Permission Moved by Councilman Pieper, seconded by Councilman
granted Wilson, that the American Legion Auxiliary, No. 227 of
Legion to the City of Tustin be granted permission to sell poppies
sell poppies on poppy day. Carried and so ordered.
Fire work Tentative Resoiutlon pertaining to the governing and
Res. read sale of fire works was read.
Chumel to Moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Councilman
get refund Wilson to re-fund Matthew Chumel the sum of $3.51 on weed
charges for the year 1937-38. Carried and so ordered.
Moved by Councilman Pieper, seconded by Councilman
Bills to be Kiser that the following bills be paid and warrants be
paid drawn for their respective amounts:

Carried and so ordered.
Moved by Councilman Pieper, seconded by Councilman
Kiser to adjourn. Carried and so ordered.
