M., Aprll 18, 1938. Present Councilman: Huntley, Logan, Pieper, Kiser, and Wilson Absent Councilmen: None Minutes of the last regular meeting, held April 4, 1938 were read and approved- The returns of the General Municipal Election held Results of April 12, 1938, were canvassed with following results: April 1938 election Total number of votes cast in consolidated Precinct "A" comprising State and County Precincts, Tustin City No. 1 and Tustin City No. 2 were 468. For City Councilman full term of four years: J. L. Wilson ................................... 114 Charles F. Logan ...... ................... 91 Edmund L. Kiser ............................ 83 Jerome Kidd ................................... 39 K. J Cawthon 35 Scattering ........................................ 1 For City Clerk short term of two years D. T. Hayden..................................... 104 Scattering ......................................... 1 J. L. Wilson, Charles F. Logan, Edmund L. Kiser, and D. T. Hayden were declared elected and a certi- ficate of election was duly authenticated and signed by the City Clerk, and delivered to each officer ele- cted and the oath of office imposed and names sub- scribed thereto. City Clerk was sworn in by City Attorney. Res. 77 Resolution No. 77 declaring the results of the elec- introduced tion held April 12, 1938, was introduced and read. On and read motion of Councilman Logan, seconded by Councilman Pieper, same was approved and adopted. Huntley On motlon of Charles F. Logan, seconded by Council- president man Pieper, Wililam Huntley was nominated President of the of Council City Councll and by unanimous vote, was elected. Mayor Huntiey reappointed the following Councilmen: Reappointments Charles F. Logan ....... Fire and Police Commissioner J. L. Wilson .................. Health and Sanitation Commis- sioner J. F. Pieper .................. Public Utilities Commissioner Edmund L- Kiser .......... Street and Park Commissioner Entire Board ................. Finance and Budget Committee Moved by Councilman Logan, seconded by Councilman Wilson, that all appointive offices be reappointed as fol- lows to-wit: D. T. Hayden ........... Police Judge Reappolntments Morris Cain . ........... City Attorney W. K. Hillyard ......... City Engineer John L. Stanton, Chief of Police, Streets Superin- tendent, Building Inspector, Sanitary Inspector, Plumbing Inspector, Electric Inspector, License Collector. Carried and so ordered. Res. 78 Resolution No. 78 was introduced by Councilman Logan introduced pertaining to weed cleaning. Same was adopted. Moved by Councilman Logan, seconded by Councilman Pie- Bills to per that the following bills be paid and warrants be drawn be paid for their respective amounts: Grover C. Riehl $ 5.00 A. M.
