Minutes of the regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Tustin held in the City Hall, in the City
of Tustin, California, October 4, 1937.
Present Councilmen: Huntley, Logan, Peiper, Kiser,
and Wilson
Absent Councilman: None
Minutes of the regular meeting and the adjourned
meeting were read and approved.
Street Truck Moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Councilman
canvas Logan, that the Street Superintendent be authorized to
ordered get a canvas to cover the Street Truck. Carried and so
ordered.
Trees to be Moved by Councilman Pieper, seconded by Councilman
pruned Logan that the Street Superintendent be authorized to have
the trees within the city pruned, that need same. Carried
and so ordered.
Moved by Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman
Sparks Kiser that the contract with C. O. Sparks for the improve-
contract, ment of Main street, and the bonds submitted therewith,
bonds having been approved by the City Attorney, the same be
to be filed accepted and approved and that the Mayor and City Clerk
execute the same for and in behalf of the City of Tustin,
and that the City Clerk file same, and cause a duplicate
thereof to be filed in the office of the, County Recorder
of the County of Orange. Carried and so ordered.
Moved by Councilman Logan, seconded by Councilman
Markel Pieper that the contract with Markel Brothers for the
Contract improvement of the intersection of "D" and Main Street,
to be filed and the bonds submitted therewith, having been approved
by the City Attorney, the same be accepted and approved and
that the Mayor and City Clerk execute the same for and
in behalf of the City of Tustin, and that the City Clerk
file the same and cause a duplicate thereof to be filed
in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County,
California. Carried and so ordered.
"D"St. bell Moved by Councilman Kiser, seconded by Councilman
to be re- Wilson, that the City Engineer ask the Markel Brothers
set to re-set the El Camino Real bell on "D" Street back of
curb. Carried and so ordered.
Moved by Councilman Logan, seconded by Councilman
Bills to Pieper, that the following bills be payed and warrants be
be paid drawn for their respective amounts:
Service bills $ 22.20
James Farrage 6.00
The Tustin News 54.60
Tustin Garage 5.76
Tustin Lumber Company .79
Los Angeles Stamp and Star. Company 2.78 Tustin Fire Department 8.00
Tustin Fire Department 8.00
City Council Expense $ 5.25
Thomas J. Wilson 1.02
Carried and so ordered.
Chief of Moved by Councilman Logan, seconded by
Police Councilman Pieper, that the Chief of Police be
granted granted a two weeks vacation with pay. Carried
vacation and so ordered.
Moved by Councilman Pieper, seconded by
Councilman Kiser to adjourn. Carried and so
ordered.
